Registration

The Seminole FC-Competitive program is an affordable option for players wanting to take their game to the next level. Our trainers include nationally licensed, former European & CONCACAF professional soccer players.

Costs: The 2023-2024 Seminole FC-Competitive fees with $30 volunteer fee added below: 

UNDER 9-10: $680 plus uniforms* (also see Sem Rec card below).

UNDER 11-12: $730 plus uniforms* (also see Sem Rec card below).

OVER 13: $780 plus uniforms* (also see Sem Rec card below).

 

Items include in fees:

  1. Trainer fees
  2. Goal Keeper training (GKT)
  3. Tournaments - on average, 2 to 3 tournaments per season
  4. United Soccer Association (USA) Academy-Competitive player & team registration
  5. Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) coach, player & team registration
  6. Insurance provided by FYSA
  7. Referee fees for games (U9-U10: 1 center ref., U11+: 1 center + 2 sideline refs.)
  8. Seminole Recreation Center facility & field maintenance (lights, upkeep, etc.)
  9. Field measuring and marking equipment and supplies
  10. A club-wide, season kickoff party
  11. An end-of-season picnic with food, DJ, bounce houses, etc.

* NOTE: Uniforms will be ordered and paid for directly by players online @ www.soccer.com . Uniform costs per player are estimated to range from $110 to $150 (Adidas brand, includes two jerseys, one pair of shorts, two pairs of socks).

In addition, each player must have a Seminole Recreation membership card. These are free for Seminole city residents, $150 for non-residents

Season:  Senior Teams (Under 15 & older) will start over the summer.  Junior teams begin practice in August, others in September, schedule will be based on team need/availability. The USA regular junior season (U9 - U14, usually 14 games) starts the 3rd or 4th weekend of October with breaks for Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays (follows public school schedule). The season ends the middle of February.

Time: Seminole FC-Competitive teams practice 2 to 3 times a week for one & one-half hours (1.5 hrs) at a time (3 hours total). Individual or small group keeper training adds an hour to one-and-a-half hours a week.

Tournaments: Again, the number & location depends on coach & team. Tournaments occur year round, with a number of others held in the greater Tampa Bay area throughout the year. Disney hosts several as well in February, May, July, August & September at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex.
